It screens out companies involved in activities that are deemed harmful or unethical, such as those engaged in fossil fuels, tobacco, weapons manufacturing, or other industries with negative societal or environmental impacts. By doing so, the index aims to provide investors with exposure to global companies that align with sustainable development goals and foster long-term positive impact, while avoiding businesses that do not adhere to these critical standards.
